Emergency Procedures
Any call made to the emergency line that is deemed a non-emergency based on the criteria above will be assessed a $25.00 fee.
- Check the thermostat to see that the controls are set properly and has working batteries
- Check all the fuses and circuit breakers
- Check the access panel to the blower compartment to ensure the panel is securely closed
- Check the filter and ensure has been replaced in the last 3 months
- If the temperature is below 50 degrees, call 509-572-9810. We will provide you a source of heat until the heat can be restored.
- Check Main Breaker and make sure it has not been tripped.
- Look around the neighborhood and determine if your unit is the only one without power. If the homes around you do not have power, please call the power company directly to report the power outage
- Are multiple fixtures backing up and/or a floor drain (i.e. sink, toilet, tub, washing machine drain)?
- Yes

- Stop using all water and shut off the main water supply valve
- No
- Stop using the water for that fixture and shut off the water supply valves.
- Use a plunger to clear the stoppage on the plugged fixture (i.e. toilet or sink).
- Most backup issues can be resolved with a plunger. Service calls that are resolved with a plunger will be charged to the resident.

- Check the breakers in the panel. Are all the breakers on?

- Reset the breaker that has been tripped (shut off).

This is not an emergency, and someone will be sent out to assess and repair the air conditioning as soon as possible. We will do our best to have air conditioning restored the next business day.
If you smell gas inside:
- Evacuate everyone immediately, including pets.
- Leave the door open behind you as you evacuate the premises.
- From a safe location, outside of the building and away from the gas leak, call the Cascade Natural Gas, emergency contact number: 888-522-1130.
- If the leaking gas ignites, don’t attempt to extinguish the flames.
- Call the fire department at 911.
- Keep other people and animals away from the area.
DO NOT do any of the following: - Do not use a telephone or cell phone inside the building.
- Do not open or close any windows.
- Do not flip light switches; pull plugs or operate electrical devices. This includes garage door openers, door bells and any type of vehicle, machinery or equipment. Any sparking could ignite the gas.
- Do not smoke, including e-cigarettes and vaping units, or light matches.
- Do not re-enter the building until you are told it is safe to do so.
